HOW DO BATTLES WORK?
The goal is to beat the opponent by reducing their Portal health points to 0. Before entering the battle, players get to create and select a deck of Minions and Spells that they’ll use in battle.
Each player starts the battle with 4 random Minions from their deck and 2 equipped Spells from the selected Hero. Players tap or drag Minions and Spells to cast them on lanes and outplay opponent’s Minions in order to reach enemy’s Portal and destroy it.

Equipped Spells have their own slots and a predetermined cooldown timer. After playing them, they automatically go on cooldown. Each Minion costs a predetermined amount of mana to cast. Cards are drawn randomly and automatically from your deck. As the battle escalates and you reach 8 mana, you start drawing 2 cards instead of 1. On the left side, you can see your mana. Mana regenerates over time automatically and with each card draw, the mana cap increases by 1, up to a maximum of 12 mana. Mana regeneration is fixed and identical for both players. If your hand is empty at one point, you will have the option to draw a card instantly at the cost of 5 mana. On the other hand, if your hand is full with 5 Minions, there will be no room in your hand for additional cards. Any additional cards drawn will be destroyed until you make room in your hand for them. If your hand is full, you can drag a card from your hand into the garbage to destroy it to make room for a new card or you can cast a card to create space for new ones.

HOW DOES OVERTIME WORK?
If one of the Portals is not destroyed within 4 minutes, overtime starts. During overtime, both Portals loose a bit of health every second until a champion is crowned.

HOW LONG DOES AN AVERAGE GAME LAST?
Approximately 2 minutes.

CAN I FORFEIT A BATTLE?
Once the players are matched a battle cannot be stopped.

WHAT ARE MINIONS?
Minions are cards that you collect and do the battling for your Hero. Each Minion has their own special feature and role in battle, so make sure to read each Minion description to figure out how to best use them. There are 5 rarities when it comes to Minion cards:

  • Common
  • Rare
  • Epic
  • Legendary
  • Mythic

HOW DO MINIONS BEHAVE IN BATTLE?
You can for the most part only spawn Minions on your side of the battlefield. Certain Minions can be spawned anywhere (i.e. Hellfiend). You can choose the lane you want to spawn the Minion and it will stay in that lane.
Minions always attack the enemy Minions first prior to the Portals. Your Minions will start attacking an enemy Minion that’s in their range on the “first come, first serve” basis. The lane needs to be clear before the Minions can attack the enemy Portal, except when the Minion has area damage and is at the end of the lane and can hit both the Minion(s) and Portal simultaneously. Also, some Minions have special abilities that can bypass other Minions and strike directly at their Portals.

WHAT ARE SPELLS?
Spells are unique powers that each Hero possesses. After choosing a Hero for your deck, you can equip two out of five Spells. Spells have their own slots in battle. Unlike cards that cost mana, Spells have cooldowns. After you use them, they automatically refresh after some time. You can level up your Spells to make them stronger. Also, by leveling up your Heroes you evolve one of their Spells, meaning they get powerful upgrades.

WHAT IS MANA?
Mana is the magical energy used during battle to cast Minions. Each minion you play costs a predetermined amount of mana. Mana is automatically replenished over time. You start the battle with 2 mana and every time a new card is drawn automatically, the number of mana increases by 1, up to a maximum of 12 mana.

HOW DO I EDIT MY DECK?
When you tap on Battle Arenas - Battle and enter the pre-battle screen, you are able to alter your deck and save up to 5 different decks. The currently selected deck in Battle Arenas will be applied to your friendly battles too. Event decks are editable separately within each event, while Campaign decks can be edited directly through Campaign levels.
At the beginning of the game, you can have 6 cards in your battle deck. Once you reach 10 unique Minion cards, you then have access to a full deck of 12. You can then mix and match up to 12 cards and even equip 2 of the same cards at one time (this results in this card appearing at double the rate). However, you are only allowed to carry 1 copy of a Legendary or Mythic Minion of the same type in your deck.

CAN I PLAY WITH MY FRIEND?
Of course! Challenge to a battle a friend from your friends list located in the left part of the main screen. There you’ll see a list of players who you referred or who invited you to join the game. Also, if your Heroic account is connected to your Facebook profile, you’ll be able to challenge your Facebook friends too.

HOW CAN I SEE MY PREVIOUS BATTLES?
If you want to watch a replay of one of your previous battles, just go to the Player Profile screen and scroll down to Battle History and choose the battle that you’d like to see. This can help you improve your skills and spot opportunities to cast different spells. You can also adjust the replay speed, pause or rewatch the battle.

HOW DO I LEVEL UP MY ACCOUNT?
You can level up by gaining experience through upgrading Minions, Spells and Heroes or donating Cards to members of your Guild. Your Account level determines the strength of your Portal. The higher the Account level, the stronger your Portal is.

HOW DO I LEVEL UP MINIONS?
In your Minion collection, or battle deck you can click on your Minions and see the requirements needed to power or level up the Minion. To power up your Minions, you need runes. To level up Minions, you need gold and Minion card duplicates.

WHAT DO I GET FROM WINNING AND LOSING?
Victory: If you win a battle in Battle Arenas you will earn a new chest, providing that you have a free slot for it. You will also earn Gold, Trophies and Glory points. Amount of Gold earned is fixed and depends on your Arena level and the number of Trophies depends on your opponent. Friendly battles don’t earn you resources.
Defeat: If you lose the battle in Battle Arenas you will not earn any rewards and a specific amount of trophies will be deducted.

ARENA UNLOCKING
To unlock an Arena you need to earn a predefined number of Trophies. By unlocking new Arenas your pool of Minions available for unlocking increases, as well as rewards you get from chests.

ARE THERE ANY AGE RESTRICTIONS?
According to our Privacy Policy you must be at least 13 years old to use Nordeus Services, and if you are under 18 you need parental or guardian approval. Please check our user agreement for more information.

CAN I PLAY ON TWO DEVICES?

Yes, it’s possible to play on multiple devices. There are two ways to enable this:

  • Option 1: If it’s the same OS on both devices, you can transfer your progress through Google Play/Game Center account on Android/iOS respectively. Log in to your Google Play/Game Center on a device where you want to transfer your account and install Heroic. It should load your progress automatically. In the event it doesn’t, go to Profile - Settings - Connect button below the Google Play/Game Center icon to do it.

  • Option 2: Use Link Device code to transfer progress. On the device where you’re logged in, go to Profile - Settings and tap on “Link Device” and then on “This is the OLD device”. Then open Heroic on your other phone where you want to load your progress, go to Profile - Settings - Link Device, tap on “This is the NEW device” and enter the code generated on your other phone. This way you can access the same account on multiple devices.

*Important note: when you enter the Link device code to load your progress on to a new device, the account you are currently logged in to on that device will get overwritten and deleted, so make sure it’s a new account you are not playing on. Loading an account on a new device doesn’t log you out from the old device.
